Website Purpose

This website is dedicated to the memory of our beautiful and dearly loved daughter, Xanthe Pheby.  We hope we can carry forward our daughter's legacy with the grace and beauty that she radiated.  Please feel free to browse through Xanthe's website as you wish and feel able. Please feel free to e-mail Alex and Emma at contact@xanthepheby.co.uk

We are so very sorry for those of you who are also bereaved parents, we know so well the sadness that you feel.  We wish all of you gentle days.  Thank you for looking at Xanthe's website.

We have created this website for two main reasons.  The first reason is to give friends, family and other bereaved parents a chance to find out a little bit more about Xanthe and to help us affirm her brief life. The second reason is to try and provide a useful resource created by bereaved parents for parents who have had a stillborn baby and also for family and friends of those parents and others wanting first hand  information on stillbirth. Please do be aware that in the sections about Xanthe we provide details of what happened and pictures of our little girl.

Sections About Xanthe

If you want to find out more about Xanthe please look at any of the following sections: About Xanthe, Xanthe's Pregnancy, Xanthe's Memorials, Xanthe's family and Writing sections in particular.  We also have a news section.

The Information Sections

Please see the sections on practical issues, resources and stillbirth  In the practical issues section there is information on memorial ideas, accessing/getting copies of medical records, finding legal advice, accessing counselling, green burial information and ideas for ways that friends/family can help bereaved parents (amongst other issues).   The resources section has lots of links to websites and Organisations that may be able to provide help and support.  The stillbirth section has a Q&A that provides more information about stillbirth.  You may also want to look at the sections about Xanthe.

Xanthe's website is here to affirm Xanthe's life, highlight the need for more government funding into unexplained stillbirth and to put some of our experiences down to hopefully provide some information to others.  Please do be aware though we have just written this website as bereaved parents and to find help, support and expert advice you can contact one of the organisations who specialise in this field.
